comal, our point of sale for food businesses

comal is a product of our own: we build it and we sell it. It is the register of a food business, on the phone it already has: food trucks, snack stands, cafés, taquerías and fondas. No new equipment.

comal's site on a computer: “Your drawer count matches, to the cent.” and a phone with a food truck's cash count, the difference $0.00.
The same page on a phone, with a drawing of food stands under papel picado.
“A working day, on the record.” on a phone: at 13:12, a to-go sale of $25.50.

What it does

It rings up a sale in one tap, in cash, card or transfer, or a split check. It keeps the tables and sends orders to the kitchen. To-go sales keep working with no signal. It works with the shop's Clip or Mercado Pago terminal, and the money reaches their bank as it does today: we never touch it. Every peso is on the record, and at closing, the count matches to the cent.

“For every food business, at its busiest hour.” on a phone: food trucks and snack stands, each with the parts it uses.

Who it's for

From a cart on the corner to a fonda with ten tables: each business uses only the parts it needs. The owner signs up alone, in minutes. In Mexico, in Spanish and pesos. In the US, in English and dollars.
