Make your WhatsApp link
Your number, plus a message already typed if you want one. Anyone who taps it texts you right away, without saving your number.
Your QR code
[DRAFT] Your QR code shows up here as soon as you type your number.
[DRAFT] The message is too long for the QR code. The link works; for the QR, shorten the message.
SVG for the print shop, PNG for social media and Canva.
How to use it
Pick your country and type your WhatsApp number.
If you like, add the message your customers will see, ready to send.
Copy the link or download the QR code, and put it where your people will see it.
Where to put your link
In your Instagram bio
In Edit profile, tap Links, then Add external link. Paste it and give it a title like “Order on WhatsApp.”
In your stories
Add the Link sticker, paste your link and change its text to something like “Text us to order.”
On Facebook
Add it to your Page’s contact info and to the end of your posts.
On Google and Google Maps
In your Business Profile, add it to your posts with the “Learn more” button. If you take appointments, use it as your booking link too.
On cards, flyers, banners and the counter
Use the SVG QR code: the print shop keeps it sharp at any size. Print it at least ¾ inch (2 cm) wide, with one line that says what it does: “Scan to text us.” A short message makes the code easier to scan.
In your email signature
One line at the end of every email: “Text us on WhatsApp,” linked. In Gmail, it’s under Settings, in Signature.
Common questions
Is a WhatsApp link free?
Yes. The link is WhatsApp’s own (wa.me) and costs nothing. This page is free too: no sign-up, no email, no limit on links.
How do I make a WhatsApp link with a message?
Type it in the message box. When someone taps your link, the chat opens with that text already typed, and they can change it before they send it.
Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
Yes, the same way. The link opens a chat with your number, whether you use WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business.
How do I put my WhatsApp link on Instagram?
In your bio: tap Edit profile, then Links and Add external link, and paste your link. In a story: add the Link sticker and paste the same link there.
Why won’t my WhatsApp link open?
Almost always, it’s the number. It needs the country code, with no +, no leading zeros and no spaces or dashes; this page builds it that way. In the US: 1 plus your 10 digits. In Mexico: 52 plus the 10 digits, with no extra 1. And the number has to have an active WhatsApp account.
Can people text me without saving my number?
Yes, that’s the point. Anyone who taps your link goes straight to a chat with you, without adding you to their contacts. You don’t need to save their number to reply, either.
Does a WhatsApp link expire?
No. It works as long as that number has WhatsApp. If you change numbers, make a new one here and swap the QR code. Group invite links are different: the group admin can reset those.
Can I see how many people tapped my link?
Not with this link: we don’t save anything, and WhatsApp doesn’t keep that count. One trick: make a link with a different message for each place, like “Hi, I saw you on Instagram.” Then every chat tells you where it came from.
Lots of people texting you?
A receptionist on your WhatsApp answers them for you, takes orders and books appointments. You take care of your people.
